COUNCIL OFFICES

I took a walk downtown today
The top end of Union Street was depressing.
Even the beautifully restored Council offices
leased at great public expense,
are only half cleaned.
Local politics is all smoke and mirrors
what you see is never what you will get.
I await the new civic square in fear and trepidation.
