Thomson's Tower
I went to Thomson's Tower in Dr Neil's Garden today. Although I've been to Dr. Neil's Garden many times, I've never been inside Thomson's Tower before. That's mainly because has been renovated relatively recently and has limited opening times. Historically the tower was used by the Duddingston curling club, and a museum of curling is housed within the tower.
Before going to Dr. Neil's, I packed my camera, sketching materials, book, bottle of water and other things I felt I would need in my back pack. When I arrived I discovered that I did not have my camera card in my DSLR or my point and shot and I had left all my spare cards in my other bag. I had 12 shots available on the internal memory of my point and shot camera, so I had to make the most of it. I was tempted to drive all the way home to get my SD card especially when I kept seeing other people taking photos with their DSLR's!
