Loch Eck

I'm pretty sure this isn't the first photo of Loch Eck I've put here, and just as sure it won't be the last. This fantastic loch runs through a deep cleft in the hills that also has to carry the only road into Dunoon from the rest of the country, and from where we were sitting when I took this we could hear the intermittent traffic of a late Sunday afternoon only as a distant rumble.

No matter how blue the sky, from up here the near end of the loch is always black, presumably because of the steep proximity of the hills on either side.
