Past times on the Railway

Today we took our little grandson to a Railway Museum he loves Thomas the Tank Engine, although Thomas is not there , the volunteers there were painting a blue steam engine which we called Thomas, there was a green engine too which he called Percy, he was sooo happy and excited he could not believe he was there. They have a petition going at the moment the council are selling what was the goods yard opposite and they do not think there bid will be accepted as the land is also wanted by developers, I wonder if they have applied for lottery money as it is such an interesting place and should be preserved. The fire engine is in the goods yard. The lamps it is hard to believe now that these were the trains lights. We had a ride on the old guards brake van, which was on the back of the train to stop it that is hard to believe too. T'was only a 10 minute ride but they are in the process of adding extra track so eventually it will be a longer ride.
