A little ray of sunshine

On the basis that It'll probably never come to Yorkshire again in my lifetime, I couldn't resist another chance to see Le Tour today. As I was due at work at 1pm and the race was passing about 40 minutes before that 7 miles from the hospital, time was a little tight. My plan worked and I managed to see the caravan, have good cycle ride across the hills and get back to Blubberhouses in time for the riders passing through. Belgium's Bart de Clercq was leading a breakaway group at this stage a few minutes in front of the peloton.

Typical of a blipper, much of the race was seen through the lens, but when half the peloton had passed I put the camera down to just enjoy the rest, all be it for a brief moment. That was to point I realised just how close they were to us.

Once they'd pass though it was on my bike and back up the hill to the car and into work. Thankfully it was reasonably quiet so I had chance to see some of the rest of the race and the end of the epic Wimbledon final.

It certainly been a weekend to remember, and wonderful for Yorkshire.
