Fun in the Scottish Sun
Today was a perfect summers day (apart from the fact Ethan got up at 6.10am)!
A lazy few hours at home, then hubbie took Ethan to his weekly gymnastics class. I made up a picnic, then walked up to join them.
We then drove to Linlithgow Palace where they were holding their annual jousting event. We knew that Ethan's best friend, Logan, would be going with his parents and sister but had warned Ethan that he might not see him because it would be so busy. As it turned out, we bumped into them pretty much as soon as we got out the car, so the boys were able to play together the whole time. It was basking hot - perfect day for a picnic beside the loch, whilst watching the event. Ethan said afterwards that it was even better than Bannockburn last week!
We then went to Boness and Falkirk to look round some furniture shops. Then dinner at Behind the Wall. As it was still a beautiful evening, despite the fact it was now past Ethan's bedtime, we said he could go to the new adventure zone playpark at The Helix. Ethan had a wonderful time there and was thrilled when he discovered the water jets were working this time. It was hard to drag him away!
By the time we got home, he had wound down and got to bed, it was 9.30pm. Perhaps we'll get a lie in tomorrow as a result??
