Plants
The Cygnet went to his first gardening 'class' this morning.
He was the youngest and smallest there so was a bit daunted by it all, but he did enjoy the touching and smelling (it was all about The Senses).
Before that he joined me in feeding Chicken Lady's hens.
He was intrigued by the thistle heads in the bird bath - the colour and spikeyness.
Lunch (for the Cygnet) was at the garden centre using the half price childrens lunch token he gets. It would have done me with the amount on his plate.
I liked the veins on the underside of the lilypad when I was cleaning out some of the weed.
It was looking quite ominous when we headed out for an early evening walk but nothing came of it.
The pictures I took on the walk ranged from the tall cow parsley to the small mushrooms.
I also took some pictures of Japanese knotweed which has appeared on some erosion defence works the council has done on the local nature trail. These have been e-mailed to the council to get it eradicated asap.
I tried sending notification about it to the local councillor - but the council website wont let me .... it keeps telling me my "comments or question are invalid"
West Lothian Council has to have the worst website and contact system in the country.
