Athens Day 5- Praying Hands
Another full on day, despite again waking at 12!
After brunch, went to local beach for a couple of hours the. Went off in search of Athens street art in the Gazi and Exarchia districts. I love street art, and there was a gret variety, so it was difficult for me to pick an image for my Blip for today. Especially....as we climbed the Lytevitus to see the sun setting over Athens and the acropolis. Absolutely stunning views
So today's Blip is of Praying Hands, a piece of street art that represents the social and economic context of Greece today. It was painted at the crisis, and won 2nd prize in the contest of painting on blind walls in the city. It's really quite something to behold as it is 600 square metres.
Last night, means last night for enjoying wine on the roof of J's apartment.
goodnight all
