Staring at rainbows

Yesterday would have been my Nan's 93rd birthday. I visited her grave with some flowers took a pic and this afternoon spent about an hour writing a blip post about this amazing woman. But something went wrong and the picture wouldn't publish, the app closed and I lost the lot! Things don't always work out like we plan.

I was a bit miserable wondering what to do. Should I spend another hour re writing? Should I just post the picture with little or no explanation? Should I choose a different picture? This was tricky as I hadn't taken any others.

Then, on my way home from St John's this evening I saw the most amazing, beautiful rainbow, so I snapped it. The picture in no way captures the majesty of it in real life but it gives you the idea. It actually made me stop and stare in wonder.

Here is to the simple pleasure of staring at rainbows.
