Langdale Gala

After yesterday's run we had a more relaxing day for me at the Langdale gala in Chapel Stile. This has been running for 70 years and combines all the features of a classic Cumbrian summer event: stalls, children's races, fancy dress, gala queen, fell racing and Cumberland wrestling.

The sun shone and we had an amazing afternoon. My son was 3rd in a running race and my daughter tried her hand at Cumberland wrestling and was 4th in the under 10 stone category!
