Le Grand Depart est arrivee

Well shall we say arrivee at Burley-in-Wharfedale ! But only
a very short stay - say three minutes - but enough to delight
the thousands of spectators en route ! Well worth the visit
despite the fact that I had been coordinated as a helper on
the day to hand out guides to the supporting village events
and sell commemoration mugs. We shifted the lot raising a
profit for the village committee of £600+ and that included
all the junior school kids getting one free ! Amazing the
effect of 180 cyclists flying past and some sunny weather!
