To Go to a Motor Show

This little beauty is a Fiat 500 of 1970's vintage.

My initial photograph just showed the car alone and I had to wait for a member of the public to come along so that it's size could be put in to perspective.

It is delightfully small and to my mind "small is beautiful"

What is perhaps most surprising is to compare this small car with the average "small car" that is sold nowadays.

By stealth cars have imperceptibly increased in size. When I spoke to my garage about this trend the salesman was refreshingly frank.

I was told that the increase in size of cars was to give the impression that a purchaser was getting more for their money.
