Yellow Blipper

This is me in my storm gear.

We're in the middle of a big storm.
The power went out around noon.
The home phone doesn't work without power.
My cell was dead.
I covered the fish and bird in blankets and headed out on foot in search of a pay phone.
They pretty much don't exist anymore.
Then we went to the bar for beer and pool and shuffle board.
I finished my book by candlelight.
We went to the brewery for dinner.
When we got back, the lights were back on, the fish were warming up, and the bird was waiting to be let out of the dark cage.
