Calm in between the storms

I was headed out for my drive to USC and I had decided to leave extra early because of the rain and our inexperienced, sometimes crazy drivers. At 1:00, just as I was leaving a news flash on our TV said - Tornado Warning in LA and Long Beach. What? Yep, it's true. So I decided to wait a little while for the storm to pass over and then I would leave. I could track the radar on the news and hear the storm coming my way. Sure enough in 15 minutes it was passing overhead. About a half hour longer and I was on my way. Our streets and intersections were flooded, cars were left out on the street, and police were directing traffic. Stressssss. But once I was on the freeway, it was calmer. Go figure. Calmer on the freeways headed to LA.

Once I got to school, the weather had calmed...at least for a little while.
