We spent the day atop a hill awaiting the peloton with good friends, kind weather and a very patient Evie B. And a picnic of course.

I took this as the first breakaway group swooped past along with a gazillion helicopters up above. We all cheered like crazies as the peloton swished into view and we were delighted that quite a few riders had separated from the main group giving us extended viewing time.
