A Day Worth Recording

Performance

E, returning from Oxford, and I met in London at lunchtime to see the theatrical version of War Horse.

That wasn't until 2:30 so we had a wander around Covent Garden and had lunch: a crepe from Creme de la Crepe - which I have to say was probably the best crepe I've ever had, and not (surprisingly) exorbitantly priced; followed by coffee and cake elsewhere.

The performance of War Horse was utterly outstanding. We had both seen the film and so knew the story. The story itself is rather contrived, but the message important, especially in these memorial years.

The delivery by the actors was incredibly good and I'd easily say this was by far the best ever theatre performance I've seen.

We doubt we'll see much of London from now on. We've not exactly seen a lot of it even only being 45 minutes away; so it was nice to 'leave' on a high.

Returned home to a meal prepared by J & Ellis, and a rather yummy carrot cake that J had baked.
