Keeps on surprising me!

Thought I'd seen everything. Obviously not.

Camera finally died today. After 420,000 fotos it put up a white flag in the way of Err30. Essentially the actuator for the shutter is finally giving up, which means a whole new shutter assembly. It'll be it's third. In a way I'm actually a little pleased because the shutter button had started to give me grief about 10 days ago - but damned if a $2 microswitch was gonna hold me back.

However, it does mean I can move up to a 7D! Woohoo! Focussing with squares. So been looking forward to that.

But today goes to my 50D that gave up. Good job, son. You will be repaired.
