Mad dogs and Blippers
With the temperature reaching 33 degrees by lunchtime we took to the cool car and headed for the city of Chambery. Sunday lunchtime seems a perfect time for wandering through the old city with its narrow streets and tiny courtyards. There seemed to be so many nooks and crannies, lovely old courtyards with sweeping staircases and flowers everywhere. This is usually a quiet time of day, particularly on Sundays. Many people are drawn to the parks where seats in the shade, preferably near a water feature, are quickly occupied.
Mad dogs and Englishmen (and Blippers) go out in the midday sun!
