Seat up or seat down?
Is possibly one of the longest running battles of the sexes in modern times. Viewed practically, leaving it up makes most sense, but many view it as more considerate to put it down.
Well today's toliet seat related blip in DDWs props challenge resolves the problem forever because if you look closely, you will see that it has 2 seats and is both up and down at the same time. Tah dah. It's so simple I don't know why no one else has thought of it.
Maybe this is why the Chinese and others still prefer the 'squat and drop' style of toilet. There is no seat and therefore no source of contention. When we were last in China and at a tea house, the ladies went to use the toilet. There were two, one western style and one squat and drop. The Chinese were queuing for the squat and drop so the ladies didn't have to wait for the western toilet, BUT they did see a Chinese lady use it out of desperation and she stood on it and used it like a squat and drop. No way was she going to sit on the seat - they do have a point you know. I could go with it if only the squat and drop was not so hit and miss. Mostly miss looking at the state of Chinese public toilets.
