Park Life

Harrison Park, Edinburgh, in the late afternoon sunshine. This is a great place for the local community who use it for all manner of activities - sports, dog walking, picnics, tai chi, reading, sleeping! Today the latter activities seemed to dominate. The park lies next to the Forth Canal. I love this part of the canal as it is always full of life but of a very relaxed nature. Today a man sat playing his guitar whilst people sat drinking cups of tea from the narrow boat cafe. I was particularly taken by the colourful hand knitted teapot cosies!

Disappointing ladies tennis final but a fantastic first day of the Tour De France in Yorkshire.
