Cycling to the shops

It is interesting to compare this picture with one taken more-or-less from the same place on the 20th March, supposedly the first day of spring! As you can see three and a half months can make a big difference!
With my injured ankle still making walking any distance tricky, and really feeling a bit desperate for some exercise, I wondered if it would work better cycling. I took an exploratory trip of about 500 meters and that seemed OK so I headed off to the shops 4,5 km away and a fair bit lower than home. It all worked well :-)
Later we met up with friends for dinner and watched Brazil make it through to the semifinals of the world cup.
