Behind the wall

This white wall with it's ornate gates and barred openings forms part of the boundary to the White City Retail Park in Manchester. It was originally built in the 1820's and was the entrance to botanical gardens, since then it has been an amusement park, and stadium for greyhound and stock car racing.

I guess this reflects the rise and fall of the leisure industry.
