Tête de la Course

After waiting impatiently at the side of the road in Burley-in-Wharfedale for Le Tour peleton to arrive, we were surprised to see three riders in a breakaway group, only 14k into the race. Jens Voigt, Nicola Edet and Benoit Jarrier made the bold escape, and Voight's reward at the end of the day was to claim the first polka dot jersey for this year's tour.

I've lots of photos to sort through, but thought the cyclists should have centre stage.

A grand day out, as one famous Yorkshireman may have put it.
