Guardian angel

We came across this rather special and ethereal looking guardian angel this afternoon while visiting The Vyne in Basingstoke.

We decided to do a tour of the house and chanced upon a camera club doing a Venice carnival costume shoot.

This lady was very ornate from the front and had rather haunting eyes, the group had been photographing her on the landing upstairs, she then floated past us to go downstairs. Her wingspan was enormous and very eye catching. I love this capture in front of the door. The light spilling around her wings has a rather heavenly feel to it :-)

We had a great afternoon there and were very lucky as the one downpour happened while we were inside the house. Nice lunch and naughty afternoon clotted cream tea later on (oops!), playtime in the eco play place and lots of running around over bridges.
