SAGA

The Society for the Appreciation of the Golden Age.... ha, ha!! All of our insurances are with SAGA and thankfully our car break down cover too. Very apt as our cars, like us, are certainly of the 'golden age'!

Whilst I'm packing for tomorrow's get away, doing the last minute jobs and then thinking I might get a quick sneak out to the local Nature Reserve in the afternoon Mr. T drives only a couple of miles away to do a very little shopping; on his way back and only about 1/4 of a mile from home his car died, but very luckily just off a fairly busy road junction. So my afternoon was cancelled and T had to call up The Society of the Golden Age in the guise of the AA who came out within the hour and diagnosed a snapped cam belt - and worse still, probably bent valves - so the old car had to be towed to the hospital garage and left there for Steve's verdict on Monday, so .............

We won't be off to Cornwall tomorrow. Boo, hoo.

The Foxgloves looked nice in the Churchyard though and in which I walked round several times whilst waiting for the AA Man!!

Hope to start our journey to Cornwall on Monday now, in my 'golden age' vehicle which also has 'golden age' break down cover!!
