We arrive in Edinburgh with our friends for a 4 night city break. Having checked into our lovely hotel, The George, we take a leisurely stroll through Princes Street Gardens and enjoy and ice cream one must do these things along with some rather unusual weather for this part of the world. The impressive Scott Monument sits at one end of the gardens so we decide to give it a go!

287 (and some very narrow) steps later, we emerge at the top and are able to enjoy some breathtaking views of this beautiful city.
