Can you psee the Ptarmigan?

We climbed Cairngorm today. It was a fabulous day, sunny and not a breath of wind, not even on the summit. Amazing! I was hoping to see Ptarmigans but really didn't actually expect to see any in such a busy place. So imagine my surprise to see first a male flying past and then a little group of them, right next to the path up to the summit. I managed to get quite a few photos as they scurried about. They are brilliantly well camoflaged. Then I saw a Snow Bunting on the way back down again. Very cool. Only a handful of them summer in Scotland apparently. We then went to the cafe and exhibition and then got the Funicular Train back down again.
