Hot in the City

Fred is one of this crowd outside a group of pubs near St Bartholomew's Hospital. The pubs were almost empty inside (but lovely and cool). I joined him for a quick drink then we headed to the Barbican to see the marvellous (and very nervous) Beth Orton. She was to sing songs for the first time in more than 15 years. I loved the rapport between all the members of the band - they looked like they were having a lot of fun.
