Well the men's tennis semi-finals were rather unexciting to say the least, so I'm hoping Sunday's between old foe is a closer match.
I took a stroll this morning to see what was happening with the two houses which are taking forever to build and which will complete the development started in 2001.
The house on the right is now occupied, although the drive hasn't been completed, the garage remains to be built and the garden is a tip. There is a garage to the left of it, but that belongs to the left hand property. The garage to be built will block out both the right-hand side windows, you can just see the beginnings of it, looking like a small brick wall.
The price they were asking for the newly occupied property was £735,000. The left-hand house is unsold and the asking price is £750,000. Neither have gardens you could swing a cat in. Not that that is something I would ever recommend.
The area in front of the house is one of the two football pitches and there is a view of "the tree" plus the poplars I photographed on Monday. So a good outlook but not at that price.
