Le Tour - Pig on a Bike

1 sleep, just hours to go......

If you'd asked any of us who live in Yorkshire 4 years ago if the Tour de France would come to the county, our reply might have been "Pigs might fly".

Well somebody somewhere (Gary Verity) had much more vision than that selling the vision to Mr Prudhomme who seems to have a say in such things. Since then most of the county has caught the vision, and tomorrow Le Grand Depart will be lined with millions.
Certainly the vibe in town is one of general friendliness. Out on a run this morning I encountered probably a couple of hundred of the lycra clad riders, most it seemed called or nodded hello, everyone (even a couple of the teams out for a spin) smiled.

Blipped is a mural outside one of the local butchers (sausage makers to Royalty), two from 13 pupils were commissioned to provide something, I rather like it and this. Well done Alice and Lilian.
