Froome!

Ok. By my reckoning, there's at least part of a forearm and part of a calf muscle that's in focus on this.

A fab but slightly surreal evening today as all 198 riders from the 22 teams in the Tour de France assembled in the car park of the University's gym, before setting off in a somewhat ad hoc and stuttering parade through town before heading to the arena for the team presentation.

I met up with Lawrie for a pre-parade mooch and glass of fizz before H1 rang and told us of a good spot to stand, up near the LGI. Less atmosphere, but fewer people and therefore better views.

As a fan since childhood, it was amazing to see the riders, tour cars & buses and after getting a "high-five" from him, Marcel Kittel might now be one of my favourite riders...

Hard to spot them all as they whizzed past and it was odd to see them ride without their customary helmets or sunglasses.

I took sharper photos, which I'll post elsewhere soon, but as Cav was even more blurred, it had to be Froome (with possibly Richie Porte) for the blip.
