Playing on Tinkers Island
I spotted this railway bridge and took this photo as a train went past. I walked on and wondered what the picture would look like with a blurred train. So I went back and waited for another train. The one above was taken with a 1/10" shutter speed . And then I waited for another train - and this one is 1/4" but not as crisp - no tripod. What's your verdict?
Why Tinkers Island? It is the name of a secluded little haven in Tonbridge Park where a 'doodle bug' exploded after being diverted from central Tonbridge by a spitfire pilot who nudged it with the wing of his plane. The explosion caused much damage to nearby houses and resulted in the death of a young boy playing nearby but the death toll would have been much higher but for the actions of the pilot. The island is accessed by a narrow overgrown bridge. Most visitors stay on the main paths and I saw noone else on Tinker's Island while I was playing with my camera
