A very long spider!

Or Common stretch-spider (tetragnatha extensa) to be exact!

Found it on my walk today in amongst some of the flowers in the lower part of the Italian Gardens.

Apparently this is the position it assumes when alarmed. I hope it wasn't me trying to get a close up that distressed it. I did actually find it like this.
