My old Nikon

My father gave me his old Nikon F2 some years back. It weighs a ton and I love it. It must be at least 30 years old and it's in near mint condition. It has 55mm and 105mm Nikkor lenses. I'm trying to find out if there's any way these lenses would work with a digital camera body, and if so, what would you recommend?

I use a simple point-and-shoot digital camera (a Sony DSC W-100) to take the photos I post here. I enjoy taking photographs but don't speak photographese. I'm simply looking for a way to take sharper, more vibrant images without having to shell out for an expensive digital SLR camera.

Anyone have useful advise? Thanks.
