A walk in the park . . .
Very hot day - got into my sister's car and the temperature read 27 deg C! Okay, it dropped to 24 once we started driving, but it was incredibly hot!
Youngest sister, Pippa, and I took Dad into Lowther Gardens. Beds of massed planting of begonias and lobelia, beautiful rose gardens and a shady walk under the trees. He loved just sitting looking up through the canopy of leaves, dappled and green.
We sat in the sun and watched earnest looking men playing bowls in a very serious manner. Dad suggested we wheel him through the middle of the green to see what they would do - he still has flashes of devilment in him!
A lovely afternoon, happy memories to take home with me.
