The Tour de Yorkshire

So it begins!!

This is such a terrible photo but I was sneakily taking a few from the window at work as there was such a fuss outside the hospital as the teams turned up for the opening ceremony, cycling from Leeds university through Millennium Square and on to the Leeds Arena.

Saw some real idiots not paying any attention to what was going on - the route was heading straight past the A&E entrance and people were clueless and didn't bother to move when the ambulances tried to get through barriers and the crowds. There's always the token annoying drivers who carry on regardless too, blocking their way.

There's a real excitement around the city at the moment, all the stars are here, even David Beckham has been spotted...
