Bye Bye Paku

We had a quick break in Tairua. This little volcanoe named Paku is the first landmark we see as we drive in to the beautiful seaside town of Tairua on NZ's Coromandel Peninsular and the last we see as we drive out. She is also our view from our living room and kitchen windows.
There is a Maori legend which proclaims that if you climb to Paku's summit you will return to Tairua. It must be true as I have climbed to the top many times to savour the view. I love the place and hope to return many more times.
