Double feature at the Castro

Another busy day.

Early start for a walking tour to Muir Woods. Amazing trip. We had a guided tour before all the crowds arrived and it was a great way to appreciate the beauty of it all. And amusingly the other people in our small group were from Cork in Ireland so it was kind of a Celtic outing!

After the tour, we stopped in Sausalito for some quality ice cream before hopping on the ferry back to San Francisco.

We then went to the Boudin Bakery's museum and had a rather tasty bowl of clam chowder in their sourdough bowl. Then a wander along the Embarcadero, gawking at the Oakland bridge and Cupid's span and a spot of shopping.

Then headed to the Castro Theater for a double bill feature of Jaws and The Towering Inferno. Gorgeous space and we even made it in time for the Wurlitzer performance. We only made it through Jaws though. Fantastic experience with applause and whooping and stuff.

Then a quick dinner in the Castro before heading back for a quiet drink and bed.

Pretty knackered!
