Carnival Week in Bakewell

One of the highlights of Carnival week in Bakewell or at least mine is the raft race down the river Wye.
This evenings race which is truly a classic case of the taking part is the most important was as magical as ever with over 120 rafts competing.
The evening was rounded off with terrier racing and a tug of war.
Tomorrow the day pre carnival brings the wheel barrow race.
Can't wait as some of the barrows are truly amazing.
