Hurricane Arthur
The difference between this hurricane and some others is there is so much rain, it is almost impossible to get a decent shot. This was taken on the pier of the Oceanic Restaurant. The young girl was with her family watching the storm from the sheltered area. When I saw the wind blowing her hair, I asked her to step out a bit so that I could get the full effect of her hair.
As I write this the storm is at its peak (around 6:30 PM) and not very impressive (except for the rain). It plans to grow in stature as it moves up the North Carolina coast. We shall see.
HERE are a couple more photos of the storm and what it was like at the bar inside the pier restaurant.
