Celtic Ring Money...

..... discovered in Eastern Europe, dated around 300 BC (!!!) ..... those nine differently sized and formed rings were worn as a belt and considered a status symbol and - money (you obviously could cut a little piece as payment...)

And here you have a 33kg silver bar and a 2.5kg gold bar found at the sunken Spanish ship 'Atocha', dated 1622. The ship was found at the Florida Keys... The gold bar is the heaviest bar they found in the wreck...
