Lillies..

..getting back into the swing of things after Mum's funeral. It was a lovely service, but still not convinced about the "Vera Lynn" songs and A3 coloured service sheet. Thought that was still a bit over the top.. There was a good turnout, and good to catch up with cousins, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, and just friends..

Of course, we've all promised to keep in touch, and visit each other. We'll see how that turns out..

Needed a quick blip tonight, so captured some lily flowers. They are so bright and garish, I thought they'd look good with a dark background. So pic loaded into photoshop, and a few tweakings produced this. I like the way the orange and yellow contrast with the black background..

School presentation today on the last day of term. The children performed with violins, bass and piano, was good. But they then did some singing, and it was heavenly.. Each year was presented with a book, and I then presented some prizes for the chess players. A nice way to spend an hour..

Then did some strimming, until the head wore out and fell apart. Switched to the blade which worked fine. Cut down all the nettles, thistles and docks in the chicken run..
