Lunch on the hoof

Today was the other half of semi- retirement, work full on! With three people unavailable due to sickness and holiday, it was left to me to hold the fort assisted to the best of her ability by K. our new work experience girl. Lunch was taken while working, out of necessity. This is not unusual and it made me think how unhealthy our work habits often are just grabbing a sandwich at the computer or the desk. In France shops are shut at lunchtime for two or three hours, sometimes four in the south. This allows for a proper lunch but I am not sure I would like the late closing and short evenings at home that this entails.
