Secondlife

As part of my new paper (started yesterday) we have to investigate tools and techniques for education in the digital space. SecondLife is such a technology - the website says "Second Life is a free 3D virtual world where users can socialize, connect and create using free voice and text chat."

You have to create an avatar for yourself so here is mine. When I sign in tomorrow I hope some of my fellow students have joined up so I can do just that. All I've done so far is walk around, fall in a river, walk along the riverbed learn to fly to extract myself from that and embed myself in a building wall!
