The Patchup Job

Its been a busy day - washing, getting the cases down from the loft and filling them, Doug mowed the lawns (just a mini haircut really). I had to go to town to do a few messages and the day has zipped by!!

Just as well I took the opportunity to snap a couple of pictures of these guys just out our window - patching a pot hole that has exploded - a number of reasons.....winter, to much rain combined with frosts and very heavy volume of trucks and trailers carting gravel from the river bed to the port for some reclaiming of land.

We're away early Saturday morning travelling up the east coast to catch the Inter-Islander ferry over to Wellington. Looking after the grandies for a couple of weeks, then over to Nelson to catchup with my niece and nephew. Then down the West Coast to home. We will be away almost a month.
