Feeding the ducks
My tax return came through yesterday so I treated myself to a new lens. The salesman tried to sell me a $600 Olympus lens and told me the under $300 dollar lens (same make) wasn't no good. I tried the longer lens on my tiny 4/3 camera which dwarfed it and made my arm ache after just a few minutes. He then conceded that the cheaper lens fit better and would be all right and back tracked on the no good comment. I tried it and liked it so bought it. I probably should have researched it first but I am a bit impatient sometimes. I am no expert but it suited my purposes, so I thought. I couldn't sleep very well last night so I checked some reviews on the lens and was a bit stressed when I read that one reviewer would never put an Olympus lens on the lumix DCM GM1 body due to a stabiliser problem between the two. So first thing today I took my great nephew down to see the ducks. The light was good so no stabiliser problems and am so far delighted. This image is not quite as good as some of the others but I liked the way the water matched the colours of the duck.
Any comments on my lens are welcome. It is Olympus 40- 150mm R
