Emmy-winning writer Abi Morgan

Went to the BBC TV Drama Writers' Festival today down in That Fancy London, which meant getting up at stupid o'clock. The reward was some fascinating sessions .

A highlight for me was the Emmy-winning creator of The Hour, Abi Morgan, talking about her approach to writing as an art, a craft and a career. Even got to ask a fanboy-ish question about what she might have done if The Hour had gotten the third series it deserved .

Answer? Freddy going to the dark side, a return to the Russian mole storyline from series one and more besides - shame we'll never get to see it!
