What's that thing up there?

This little kid seemed to be fascinated by the statue of philosopher David Hume in the Royal Mile. Later on his parents took him out of the pram and let him touch Hume's toe, which people rub for luck.

As it takes me ages to go to work, roughly an hour, I have to leave the flat earlier than I used to and I get home later than I used to. It feels a bit frustrating but it's for the best, I have to keep reminding myself... Last night my foot was rather swollen after work, so today I was wearing a compression bandage around my foot and leg. It actually helped. My feet is looking less swollen today. It's hard to find a balance between movement and rest. If I stand for too long, it's bad, but if I rest for too long, it's bad too... anyway...

It's funny how you notice the people around you a bit better when you're not rushing about. Today I met two friends I hadn't seen for a while on my way to work!

As for work, It was just one of those days... but, hey, it's over now, and I'm off for the next couple of days! :)
