Odeon Leicester Square
Today I tried to lie in but failed miserably and was up at half nine.
I started my day with a bit of breakfast with Luke before showering and getting ready for the day.
We made plans to head into town after posting treats off to Grandma for her belated birthday and also some Harrods biscuits and tea towel to Jeff and Helen.
I also picked up an info mag about wedding planning and how to save money but not scrimp on a great day.
We read some good tips on the journey to Leicester Square where we bought tickets to see Maleficent (finally!) in 3D.
Because we went to see it where the UK premiere was held and the cinema is really championing the film, we paid a total of £52 for two tickets and two pairs of 3D glasses! The movie had better be the best we'd ever seen.
The cinema did not disappoint. The theatre was enormous inside and there were pretty bas reliefs on the wall of nymphs leaping towards the screen and the ceiling is ribbed with hidden lighting and stalls, royal circle and circle. Very beautiful deco details.
The film was rather good although I was already biased as she is my favourite character. There were some interesting twists and plot variations from the 1959 Disney Classic Sleeping Beauty.
Once the film was done we wandered down Oxford Road browsing some shops along the way before Luke dropped me off at Harrods for my nightshift.
The work throughout the night was very productive and Humera and I got most of Stage reworked negating the need for another nightshift on Friday. Good job us!
Today I am grateful for a wonderful afternoon date with my Luke to see a long awaited movie in luxurious surroundings.
