highly commended

Today Duncan and I went into Edinburgh College of Art to meet Picture Post the art couriers. We picked up the painting that had been shortlisted and selected for display at the wildlife artist of the year 2014 exhibition in London earlier this month. When I unwrapped the picture I was surprised to find a "highly commended" sticker attached to it. Living in Scotland means that I don't get to London shows, and have to rely on couriers to take my work down for me and means I don't get to see it on display, so it was a very nice surprise!
